Dream

Dietrich Bonhoeffer is a german activist, who lived during the Nazi era,
He stood against only two things: Government and Church.
He refused to live an easy life in the united states of America, in every that it is talking about him they mention this little piece of info, Probably it is considered a virtue refusing the richness of the USA.

Bonhoeffer understood this small piece of info, “to die for something is better than living for nothing.”
He also believed in the costly grace (there is something to be paid). many ppl understand their rights to take (suing is one of the forms), but very few ppl dont understand that the right to take must be accompanied with the duty to give.

Martin Luther King had a dream, he paid something for it: his life.

When you ask someone what are your goals, and he only talks about body shape and/or financial security ONLY, there is a problem here.

Jim Elliot,  a very famous brethren Martyr who was slaughtered by natives during spreading the gospel in Ecuador.
He is famous or his quote, "He Is No Fool Who Gives What He Cannot Keep,
To Gain That Which He Cannot Lose"
In other words, what is less valuable to you should be offered as a sacrifice to the more valuable things in your life?

BTW, here are two sermons by him (with his voice).

What is your dream?
Is your dream bigger than you? Or you are bigger than your dream?
Are you paying for your dream? Or paying your dream for yourself?
What is valuable (really valuable) to you?
